- Judicial Internships
Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia is currently accepting applications for internships in her Chambers for the Spring and Summer of 2015. All applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all available slots are filled.
Interns in Judge Howell's Chambers get a wide variety of legal research and writing experience and have the opportunity to observe court proceedings. Applicants for Spring 2015 must have completed one full year of law school at the time of their application. Applicants for Summer 2015 must have completed one full year of law school by the Summer of 2015.
Applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, writing sample, and two references and/or letters of recommendation. Applicants are strongly encouraged to combine the documents into a single PDF document for submission.
Interns are expected to dedicate two full days to their internship in the Spring and a standard work-week in the Summer. Spring internships generally run from January to April; Summer internships generally run from late May to early August.
