Current law students interested in applying for an internship with Judge Beryl A. Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for the Fall semester should submit an application by August 15, 2013 (earlier applications are most welcome and encouraged!).
Interns in Judge Howell's Chambers get a wide variety of legal research and writing experience and have the opportunity to observe court proceedings. Law school students, who have completed at least one year of law school, may apply for an internship with Judge Howell by submitting a cover letter, resume, law school transcript, writing sample, and two references and/or letters of recommendation.
Interns are expected to work part-time (up to 15 hours per week) during academic terms and full-time during the summer.
