Mobile Courtroom Technology

Mobile Evidence Presentation Systems (MEPS)
The United States District Court for the District of Columbia has a variety of Mobile Evidence Presentation Systems (MEPS) that can be used in most courtrooms within the Prettyman Courthouse. The systems offer the following features:
  • Document Camera (a.k.a. ELMO.)
  • Video monitors for the judge, jury, witness, counsel, and courtroom clerk.
  • DVD/VHS combo player.

Electronic Courtrooms

The United States District Court for the District of Columbia offers evidence presentation systems to attorneys in most courtrooms. Some of these systems are of the Mobile variety and may not be in a courtroom at any given time. Prettyman

  • Courtrooms 5, 9 and 16 in the Prettyman building are dedicated Electronic Courtrooms and always have evidence presentation technology. Please see the Electronic Courtroom page in this web-site, which details what technology can be found in these courtrooms.
  • In addition, courtrooms 5 and 16 have videoconference capabilities. To request the use of videoconference technology, additional information is required by the Court.

The technology will not always be in any particular courtroom except where noted.
