Internship Information An internship with Judge Friedman is a traditional judicial internship. Student interns prepare memoranda of law and draft opinions. They also have the opportunity to observe trial work and pretrial proceedings by sitting in on various phases of both civil and criminal cases. Interns may be asked to perform some administrative tasks. The internship is unpaid, although many former interns have earned academic credit. Interns are hired for the fall, spring and summer terms. They work part-time during academic semesters and full-time during the summer. Judge Friedman hires no more than three interns per term in order to provide close supervision and to assure substantive work opportunities. Intern
