CLERKSHIPS:
Judge Cobb employs three, one-year clerks. She is currently hiring for the 2026-2027 term via OSCAR. Applicants with a demonstrated commitment to pursuing a career in public service are particularly encouraged to apply.
Applicants who do not have OSCAR access may apply via email by submitting a single PDF containing the following documents to Judge_Cobb_Applications@dcd.uscourts.gov: cover letter, resume, law school transcript, undergraduate transcript, at least three letters of recommendation, and two writing samples. Your writing samples should be your own work, and at least one of your writing samples should be unedited by others. Applicants who have graduated from law school should also submit a list of 1-2 professional references.
INTERNSHIPS:
Judge Cobb is accepting internship applications for Spring 2026 (January through April). Applicants should submit a cover letter, resume, law-school transcript, writing sample, and list of three references to Judge_Cobb_Applications@dcd.uscourts.gov. Please submit the documents as a single PDF in the order listed. The PDF should be named LastName_FirstName_Spring2026InternshipApplication. The subject line of the email should be the same as the file name.
Chambers is hiring both part-time and full-time interns. Applicants should indicate how many days per week they wish to work in their cover letter.
Interns draft memoranda, orders, and opinions, and have the opportunity to observe court proceedings. Applicants must have completed at least one year of law school by the start of the internship. You must therefore be a 2L or 3L to apply for a Spring 2026 internship.
